CFWR works with municipalities, Chambers of Commerce, Community Development Corporations and other local groups to promote economic development.
Our goal is to put government training and support programs to work locally. We do this by helping you with Strategic Planning, Project Planning, and Connecting to Other People.
Strategic Planning
Our staff can help your council or community group create practical plans to meet their goals. We can:
- Help you with strategic and operational planning sessions
- Organize workshops for your community or region
- Help you define issues and develop solutions
- Help your create economic development strategies for your community or region
CFWR will also work with you to develop policy and carry out programs. Our goal is to make sure that the economic development interests of your communities are recognized.
Project Planning and Co-Ordination
Our staff provides support for community projects and events.
We work with you to identify opportunities. And, we help you research, plan, start and manage projects.
We also help you find potential funding programs and we help with the application process.

Connecting to Other People
CFWR brings a regional perspective to committees and working groups.
We invite you to look at the work of communites around you. It is good to know about the issues facing them. And, you will find it helpful to know about other projects in the region as you make your plans.
We also encourage you to talk with other communities and groups in our region and to work together with them.
CFWR is a link between communities and various levels of government. We help the people who design policy and create programs understand the challenges and opportunies of our region.
